ALICE BUENCAMINO Obituary

ALICE JANE BUENCAMINO, M.D., lost her courageous battle with cancer on 11/15/09. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on 2/10/1936 to Louis Czyzewski and Lucille Brzozowski. She graduated from Central Catholic High School and St. Vincent School of Nursing in Toledo. She married Dr. Victor Buencamino in Manila, Philippines. She received a Bachelor of Nursing degree from Philippine Women's University, and her M.D. from the University of the East.Alice completed her Residency at Medical College of Ohio in Toledo. She worked at the University of Toledo Health Center, and was a partner with Drs. Richard and Antonio Paat. She was a former member of Regina Coeli, Little Flower, and Christ the King Parishes.Alice moved to Houston in 2004 and worked as a locum tenens for Houston County. She was a member of Christ the Good Shepherd Parish in Spring, TX.Alice is survived by her sister Carol Haas of Denver, CO, 5 children- Lucy Buencamino of Spring, TX, Terence Buencamino of Kent, WA, Julie Buencamino of Manila, Phil. Luis Buencamino Dagupan City, Philippines, and Cristina Winkler of San Diego, CA, her son-in-law Robert Reese of Spring, TX, and grandchildren Ian Winkler, Calista Reese, and Diego Sarte.Her sense of humor, artistic flair, and tenacity will be missed.A Memorial Service will be held at Addison Funeral Home, 18630 Kuykendahl Rd. Spring, Tx. on November 21, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. . In lieu of flowers, please honor her with memorial donations to MD Anderson Cancer Center, P.O. Box 4486, Houston, TX, 713-792-3450.
