GEORGIA KRAUSE Obituary

GEORGIA LEE KRAUSEOn Wednesday, November 18, 2009 Georgia Lee Krause, mother of two, grandmother to seven, great-grandmother to fourteen, and bright light to us all, went to be with the Lord. Georgia began her life in Somerville, TX in 1921. She graduated from Somerville High School and settled into life raising her girls and keeping books. However, her resume like accomplishments were not what defined Big Georgia. It was the number of laughs she shared, the memories she created and the love she gave. Whether it was memories of a fishing outing, crazy driving antics, or delightfully off-beat humor, our collective memories of Georgia Lee Krause involve love and laughter. She was preceded in death by her two daughters, Georgia Ann Krause Tatum, and Mary Krause Pettit. Georgia is survived by her son-in-law, Arthur Pettit; her 7 grandchildren, Scott Tatum, Carrie Lafleur, Jill Tullius, Dana Lipinsky, Matthew Tatum, Doug Pettit, Lauren Schober; 14 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. A celebration of life will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 21, 2009 at Brookside Funeral Home in the Chapel of Chimes. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Brookside Memorial Park.

Good-bye, Aunt Sidder. Banana will always remember how you made her laugh with your ribald sayings that perfectly summed up a situation. Love, Banana
