She was a great educator proud to have her as my teacher. She made learning fun with her sense of humor. God bless you, sweet lady.

You were a wonderful teacher. I thought of you often. I wish we could have reconnected when I was older. I was very unhappy in high school, you made I hour five days a week for 2 years happy. Thsnks for the good grades I received. Yes I did earn them, thanks or recognizing

Ms. Nipper, my most memorable teacher at Lamar H.S.. Her creative approach to learning turned my worst subject, English, in to my favorite class. It also took both of us down a career path involving video production. Our paths crossed again in Austin where Jean and I were involved with the International Television Association (ITVA). If a person life can be measured in what they did to teach and help others succeed, then Jean Nipper was a true shinning star. Her teachings and memory stays with me

Bennie,
Oscar,
I am sorry for your loss.
Bennie,
Though I haven't see you since Sophomore English at San Jacinto High School and a state Democratic Party convention, I still follow your thespian contributions to the community. I appreciate the knowledge you shared with me. Thank you.

Jean was my teacher at Lamar High School and later my friend. She was a great supporter of the arts and always encouraged me to go forward in my creative career. She had a great spirit and joy about her that will be missed and I know she's sharing that with her great friends in Heaven. Truly, Francie Mendenhall

I am 58 years old, Ms. Nipper was my teacher but I'm trying to remember if it was in Jr. High or High School.

Jean and I worked at AISD central office at the same time. It was at that time I found out that she and my mother, who was Nancy Peek Gray of Harlingen & Austin, Texas (daughter of John Porter Peek and Lucille Moore Peek), were first cousins. Jean was always busy getting things done, but never to busy to stop and say hello. She kept me posted on family news, even though I did not know many of them. Her cheerful attitude was refreshing. She made a difference in public education! God bless her.
