LARRY CHESS Obituary

LARRY CHESS was born March 19, 1940 to Murry and Rosalind Chess, and died October 15, 2010. He was a lifelong Houstonian and graduated from San Jacinto High School.Larry was founder and C.E.O. of Automated Building Service and was a former C.E.O. of A-1Delivery Service.Larry is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 35 years, Esther; his loving and devoted grandson, Layn Bowers; his daughter, Linda Bowers; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Mervin and Karen Chess and Joel and Linda Chess; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Kenny and Liz Grossman and A.W. (Billy) and Linda Grossman; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sharon and Fran Tunney; son-in-law, Wendell Bowers; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends.A service will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, October 17, 2010 in the Proler Chapel of Beth Israel Memorial Park at 1101 Antoine, Houston, Texas, interment immediately following. Rabbi Brian Strauss will officiate.The family requests donations be made to the charity of one's choice or to the American Diabetes Foundation.
