Marilyn Lander Obituary

Lander
Marilyn Sue Handley Lander, On June 27, 2011, Marilyn Sue Handley Lander, 72, passed away after a one year battle with inflammatory breast cancer. Our hearts are broken and our lives will never be the same.
She lived every day caring for her family and making life wonderful for the rest of us. Her greatest concerns were not for herself but for those she left behind. She worked for Alief ISD for 25 years as an attendance clerk and spent her retirement at Lake Livingston where she made many new friends and planned many fish fries. She could always be seen at social occasions with her Miller Lite in hand and talking to people.
To honor and cherish her memory are her husband of 52 years, Donald Lander, her children Mike Lander, Stacey Burch, Jason Lander and fiancé Laura Wong, grandchildren, Jamie and Evan, sisters, Marsha Green, Marie Coolidge and husband Bob Coolidge, brother, James Handley, sister in law, Phyllis Smith as well as many other relatives & great friends. Please join us for a memorial service honoring Sue on July 6th at 10:00 am at Bethany Christian Church at 3223 Westheimer Rd. Houston, TX 77098 .
Memorial donations may be made to: The Coldspring Public Library, P.O. Box 1756 , Coldspring, TX 77331.
