Richard Lopez Obituary
beloved husband and father passed away on November 15, 2011. He was born in Houston, Texas on April 15, 1962. He was a sixteen year veteran employee of Texas Children's Hospital where he worked as a carpenter in the Facilities Engineering Department. Richard will be greatly missed and remembered for his kindness and generosity as well as his contagious fun loving attitude.
Richard married on February 18, 1984 and is survived by his wife of twenty seven years Norma; along with his sons; Richard, Jacob, Eric and Aaron Lopez. Other survivors include brother; Robert (Tina) and Sisters; Margaret (Jesse), Oralia (Tom) and Gloria and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Janie Lopez. Richard Lopez, a devoted husband, father, brother and true friend will be greatly missed.
Funeral services have been entrusted to Santana Funeral Directors. Visitation will be on Friday November, 18 2011 from 1pm-9pm with a rosary at 7pm. Following a mass the next day at 1pm at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church located on 2131 Lauder Rd. Houston, TX 77039 with a procession to Brookside Cemetery 13401 Eastex Freeway Houston, TX 77039.

Richard took me under his wing n showed me the ropes 12 almost 13 years ago when I first started at Texas Childrens. It was as though he always took care of me. Remember this world is temporary and it passes by so so fast whether its 49yrs 49 months or 49 days. Lets take care of one another and never take anything or anytime for granted..This is what Richard shared with me, he was love. Richard was love from his FATHER. And now his Father has called him back home because he LOVES him. I love you Richard Lopez...... and please say something good about me..

Richard, may you find peace in the arms of our all mighty God. These lyrics seem so fitting now "I will rise when He calls my name. No more sorrow, no more pain. I will rise on Eagles wings." I will treasure the last time we came to visit you. We laughed and remembered the good times.
Norma, we will continue praying for you and the boys.
