I did not know Mr. Underwood, but his son John and I have been close friends for over 30 years.
John's friendship and his muse have been such wonderful contributions to my life and I thank the Underwoods for giving life to one of the most fascinating men I have ever met.
My condolences to the Underwood family and their friends at this sad time.

Dick use to come by and talk about all the photo's he had seen over the years and all the lectures he was giving. He was just so full of life and so loved working with the space program. May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
