Dear Bob and Family,

Regretfully, I was unable to attend the memorial service today but wanted you to know how saddened I was to read of your mother's death. She and your father were close friends of my parents, Boyd and Pauline Kilgore, for almost as long as I can remember. I'll never forget her remarkable soprano voice in the Bellaire Methodist choir (Dad always said she had one of the finest voices he had ever heard), and how all of us looked forward to hearing her solos. I always enjoyed her company, humour, and lively conversation - in particular an afternoon with her and Mother at a Theta Antiques show, and again at a lunch at Sue's favorite Italian restaurant in Bellaire several years ago. She was just a delight to be with, and one of my favorites
of Mom and Dad's friends.

My warmest condolences,
Clara Kigore Gilchrist

I have many fond memories of Sue. She and Edna McAuliffe were the two people who unselfishly gave my mother, Grace Stephenson, the mobility and quality of life that she so greatly cherished the last 20 years of her life. Sue or Edna were always available to assist her and my mother always appreciated their assistance. I don't think that Sue ever considered this a burden, mom was a close friend. They used to travel around the world together, now I guess they will be traveling together again.
