Margie and family, I was so sad when I heard of Eddie's death. It was a pleasure for John and I to know you both when we were at Braeburn Valley Baptist Church. We enjoyed the visits in your home and at lunches after church. My grandchildren were thrilled to meet you both and to get signed baseballs and pictures from Ed. I thank God that we were honored to be your friends. John and Ed are praising the Lord now and maybe talking music and baseball.

We wish to offer our most sincere and heartfelt condolences to the immediate family, all other relatives, his many associates in baseball and throughout his long life and to his many fans around the baseball world on the departure from the scene of BIG ED STEVENS ...
Ed Stevens was one of the finest and nicest men ever to play the game and was just about the most popular person every place he played over his long career ...
He shall be fondly remembered forever by all those of us who met and knew him over time ...
Thanks for everything, Ed.
