Ted Patterson Obituary
1936-2016
Ted Patterson, age 80, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2016 in the presence of his daughters. Ted was born April 16, 1936 in Pearsall, Texas and grew up in Seadrift, Texas. He lived most of his adult life in the Houston, Texas area where he owned and operated a swimming pool business for over 40 years. Ted is preceded in death by his mother, Ethel Patterson, and his wife of 52 years, JoAnn. Ted is survived by his daughters, Lori Slater and Traci Patterson as well as his sister, Patsy Biediger. He also leaves behind his brothers-in-law, sisters-in law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends all of whom he loved very much. Ted did not desire a funeral service. Instead, his expressed wish was for those who loved him to share their fond memories of him with each other whenever they gather together.
Our family would like to thank the breakfast gang and staff at Carl's BBQ in Waller, TX for the wonderful friendship they brought into Dad's life and our own. We also would like to express our gratitude to Dad's wonderful caregivers – the home health and in-home hospice teams at Encompass Home Health (College Station) and Home Instead (Houston) for their compassion and support during Dad's illness.

Traci & Lori: My prayers are with you. You both have had a hard 5 years and you have done an amazing job of loving & caring for your parents. You have been a real testimony to many as we have watched you honor your mother and father. May God bless you both.
Uncle Ted was my favorite. Such a mellow attitude and amazing sense of humor. He ALWAYS made us laugh. He was a great man, son, brother, husband, father, uncle and he will be missed. May God continue to bless his soul and his family.
