1959-2017
Lance Eugene Arrendale, 57, of Houston, Texas, passed away on December 23, 2017. He was known for, and will be remembered as a person of unique generosity, kindness, intelligence, and wit. Born on December 28, 1959, in the Philippines, Lance lived in Fort Worth, Corpus Christi, and Houston. Lance graduated from Texas A&M Kingsville and had completed course work toward an MBA at St. Thomas University in Houston. Lance lived his life fully and joyfully, loved fast cars (and drove them fast!), loved his work, loved music, loved the people in his life, and was a total foodie. He was always there to lend a hand, offer advice, and provide support when times were tough.
Lance is survived by his spouse Steven Hartranft, of Houston, Texas, parents Eugene and Angela Arrendale of Corpus Christi, Texas, brother Vance, his wife Jennie, and their three children Victoria, Alison, and Vance II, all of San Diego, California, brother Terence, his wife Darlene, and their three children Allyssa, Anessa, and Terence II, all of Corpus Christi, Texas, his long-time friend, Sondra Miller, of Houston, Texas, two kitties Gypsy and Joey, of Houston, Texas, and by numerous cousins and friends. Donations can be made in memory of Lance to BARC Animal Shelter and Adoptions in Houston, and Healthcare for the Homeless – Houston.

Lance was my mentor, freind and a great soul I had the privilege of meeting 30 year ago. I didn´t know he passed away almost 8 year ago!! May his soul rest in peace. Until we meet again my freind!!

My condolences on Lance's passing. The words describing him are so true. I worked with him at Infor. With great patience and grace he taught me everything about budgeting and planning. He was a wonderful colleague and friend and will be missed.

I feel very privileged to have known Lance and been mentored by him in gaming. We had many discussions on such a variety of topics as well since he was very intelligent and well versed in a multitude of subjects, even spoke French.
My only regret as I remember him will probably be never getting to dance with him in RL, especially Hustle, as ballroom and many forms of dancing are my passion.
A very fun thing is that we also have the same RL initials *big smile* ... Lois Eileen A.

I was fortunate to attend high school with Lance, and we were good friends. We especially talked and laughed a lot in our freshman year; as time we went on, we spent less time together, growing into who we were supposed to be, but we always regarded each other warmly. I'm grateful for his presence in my life.
