Sweet precious, Amanda, you have especially been on Uncle Barney's and my mind for the past few weeks for so many personal reasons. The wonderful force of love, like water, is one of the most powerful and the neverending love we feel for you and the true honor of being blessed with your forever presence keeps you a part of our lives and what a wonderful gift that is. We have never missed you more than yesterday and today-
Love, Aunt Sue Ellen and Uncle Barney

Debra and John, I could not believe the news of Amanda's untimely death. I know it has been many years since we have been in touch but always considered you both some of our closest friends when we all lived in Angleton. Jill now lives in Houston and I am in Lake Jackson (in the directory) if you would like to call. I am not sure how to get hold of you. Would love to talk to you personally. It sounds like Amanda grew up to be an amazing young lady. I am sure she is carrying on what she was accomplishing here in her new heavenly home. Love you both. Please let me know how I can reach you both. You are in our prayers.

It is so hard for me to express how much Amanda meant to me. I truly believe we were meant to be in each others lives and I am so thankful for each and every minute we shared. Amanda's joyous outlook on life and compassion for every living thing she encountered always amazed me. She had this way of making you feel as though you were the most beautiful and special person in the world. She possessed this uncanny ability to light up a room with just a smile. It is with certainty and without a doubt in my mind that I can say I am truly a better person today for having been blessed with Amanda as a best friend. I love and miss you Amanda and always will.

To Our Sweet, Precious, Beloved Amanda, yesterday morning I came across the crocheted vest I wore when I met you at Sterling's show and we had on identical outfits down to that vest and we always laughed about that-that made me smile. Uncle Barney and I think about you and miss you every day. He said hands down your hugs were always full of love and energy that is unsurpassed. He thinks about you every night while driving home. We miss your lovingkindness and joyful presence in our lives. Love, Aunt Sue Ellen and Uncle Barney

Amanda was such a beautiful and caring girl. I hung out with her many times when I lived in Lake Jackson. I found out about this by reading the article in the Chron about her husband :( Prayers to her family and friends.

...I've been avoiding this, signing this guest book I mean. I don't have the words to express, in earnest, how I felt and feel about Amanda. I loved her. So, so much. I find myself hard-pressed to drag those words up for hardly anyone, but never, ever in the 28-29 years I knew Amanda did I ever once have a hard time telling her that I loved her, and that she was one of my best friends. This is because it was, and still is, true. Amanda was THE most, lovely, sincere, giving, and unabashedly friendly person I have ever known... or in all honesty, probably ever will know. I feel great empathy for all in our family who lost this huge light in our lives, but I also feel for the people that will now, never get a chance to meet her and have their lives brightened by her smile, her voice, her mere presence... yes, the world is definitely a little less bright without her in it. Oh but the impact she made when she was here! I have never laughed so hard, had such a great time, or felt so genuinely accepted and loved as I did when we were together. My Aunt Debbie and Uncle John did one bang up job to bring a person so akin to an angel into this this world, and for that I thank them, for though she may be gone, she'll always be here, with me and all of you, and that is something that can never be taken away from us. One last thing... I would like to thank you, Amanda, for bringing all of us back (and some for the first time) together. Even in this you've still, somehow managed to bring some more light to our lives. I love you Amanda, and as long as I still have a heart, I will NEVER forget you. Ever.

Our sweet, precious girl, what a ray of sunshine God blessed our family with when Amanda graced our presence. Amanda's complete sincerity and loveliness of demeanor made you feel wonderful that she had graced your day. When she walked in a room, heads turned, and that was the power she possessed. A void has been created for our family, but with everything warm, joyful, and loving that Amanda gave every one of us, we will cherish in our hearts and minds forever, having known this true Angel. We miss you every day and forever, Amanda.

I’m so sad to hear this news. Amanda was a huge part of my childhood, and in all of my favorite memories growing up. We would play Barbies for hours, and shop even longer. Her and her mother taught me all the basics of being fabulous! We had so much fun together when we were little. My thoughts and prayers are with her and her amazing family.
