Rebecca Holmes Obituary
Rebecca Lynn Holmes (Becky), 49, passed away on July 6, 2011. She began her new eternal walk with the Lord. Her family rejoices in the beginning of her journey and knows she awaits them in Heaven. Proceeded in death by her father Charles Holmes, Becky is survived by her Life Partner of 23 years, Lisa Mustacchia, mother Barbara Scott, brothers, Derek Holmes, Jason Respess, family members Betty Clarkson, Roy Shafer, cousins Terri Kula, Linda Bishop, the Pruitt family, the Holmes family and the Mustacchia family, along with numerous dear and special friends.
There will be a Church Service at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 1819 Heights Blvd., on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. with reception to follow. The church does not accept flowers. Please have any flowers or plants delivered to Heights Funeral Home.
Another Memorial Service will be held at Heights Funeral Home on Monday, July 18, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with refreshments to follow.

Dear Lisa,
I am so glad I was able to see you when in Houston several weeks ago visiting the Arendt-Fords, even though it was a very difficult time. Just remember that our circle of friends has a circle of friends etc etc that are all sending you loving and healing energy after the loss of your dear Rebecca.

If I've learned anything down through the years, it's that nothing beautiful in this world is ever really lost, those we cherish will always live on in our memories. Those in Houston are our family and Becky is cherished for the kind, gentle, cat loving, pool league team mate that always brighten the room when she entered. I was always struck by Becky's gentle manner, her love of cats and her calming voice. I enjoyed our chats/cat updates on our front yards and by e-mail too, and am so glad to have known her. She is missed.

Becky, I will miss your smile and the laughs we shared about our cats. I still have Murphy thanks to you. My mother and I still talk about the time her and my dad got locked in my house and you had to come and free them. Heaven is a better place with you there. Lisa - Sorry I can't be there for Becky, but my thoughts are with you. They say time heals all, but I can only imagine how horrible you feel right now. All I can offer is that you keep all the good memories you two have had for so many years and cherish them always.

I'm very sad to lose my cousin so soon in life, but I will always cherish the childhood memories of fun and laughter we shared. We were blessed that Becky was part of our family and I will miss her.

Recently, Becky and I were work at home teammates. Even though I had never met her face-to-face her humor, integrity and boldness to speak her mind were obvious. I am so thankful I got to work with her. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I can't express how sad my heart is over Becky's passing. I hadn't seen her in many years, but Becky was always a favorite cousin. We shared alot of funs times as children, memories I'll always cherish. I feel really blessed that we got to reconnect before she passed. My thoughts and prayers go out to all those who knew and loved Becky.

Lisa, so sorry to hear about your loss with the passing of Rebecca. I was hopeful that going to MDA would give her a fighting chance to put the cancer in remission. It was too bad that she waited so long to start treatment. I will keep Rebecca in my prayers as for all cancer patients who put up a good fight but were not able to beat this terrible disease. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this trying time.

First of all, let me say the cat dish incident, will forever be our connection for a great laugh, during this sad time. I am happy the Lord took you in his arms and made the transition so peacefully.
