Betty, I spoke to my parents today, Larry and Maybelle Fletcher. They were so sorry to hear about Bill. They want you to know they have so many happy memories of you and Bill from the old downtown church. Mother said she remembers you all teaching the older group of kids for years while she was teaching second grade. Personally I remember Bill (Mr. Alexander to me as a 10 yr old!) on the roof garden leading the young people in activities. It's funny how important people in one's life leave a 'picture' in the mind of a child even though they may not have seen them in many years! Mr. Alexander was definitely one of those First Baptist Church servant-hearted saints that left an impression on me. God bless you and comfort you as you celebrate a life well lived.
