Marshall 's my brother in law. Such a kind, giving, loving person.
Enjoyed trips he would plan with such detail and fun.
We all loved him so much. Miss him alot

Marshall, a very kind, generous , loving person. He was a wonderful husband to Candy, he loved her so., and meant so much to her children. He loved family . A planner too, in taking a 6 week trip with Candy and Marshall, Ronny and I had a wonderful adventure with them.
All plan out by Marshall, couldn't of been any better. A wonderful trip to Paris and Germany... Maxine and I were invited to go with them. A few years earlier, they took our mother when they went to Paris and Germany to meet relatives...
Marshall, such a loving, caring and giving person... miss him... Cherry

Jard took very kindly to me when I first started at KTRK. We went out to breakfast a couple of times. He was a great source for KTRK history. I miss him greatly.

Sad news. Marshall Jard meant a lot to my mother Jeanne.

I just learned Marshall passed away. To say I am deeply saddened sounds so hollow, especially for a guy as vibrant as Marshall. We worked together at KTRK, and he was the first photographer I worked with there. He had great street smarts, an outstanding sense of humor and was always a delight to work with. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and worked with him.

Marshall taught me how to load film in a CP-16 camera, and how to sniff out a news story. He was a smart, funny, kind man. I will always be grateful for his influence on my career.

A chance meeting in a small hotel on one of Marshall and Candy's European Vacations 15 years ago started a very close friendship. He had many wonderful meetings over the years and were welcomed into the Jard extended family as warmly as they were welcomed into ours. We have many friends and acquaintances but none came close to this. Marshall was a very special person to us, kind considerate and extremely patient. Always a cheeky smile and a helping hand. We will miss him terribly and hold many happy memories of this wonderful man. Love comes from Sue, Keith , Mark, Robert and their families.xxx

I met Marshall at the University of Houston about 1964 and we remained friends all these years. He was a joy to be with. We rode in his old VW bus throwing newspapers and he came to our house often and was friends with all my family. He even hired my brothers at Shakey's Pizza Parlor. He married our next door neighbor, Candy, and came to my mother's 100th birthday party. What a guy!
