I first met Pat in the late 1970s when we met in Galveston and later in Vancouver as new recruits with Lockheed; he was hired to run the Houston Office and I the London office.
He was one of the friendliest and helpful people I have met and I was particularly grateful for his friendship during difficult times with Lockheed.
Jana, do you remember a furniture chest in an Antique shop in Billingshurst, Sussex that you and Pat spotted during your time in the UK. Well it obviously made a great impression on Pat as he had me visit that shop about 1978, to purchase it and have it shipped to you in Houston, but unfortunately it had been sold.
Jana, I wish you and your family the very best wishes and hope that you obtain some solace from the fact that Pat was so widely loved and respected. The world is a poorer place without him!

I could never thank Pat enough for his generosity when I husband Peter Atkins died. Pat paid for his funeral and helped my son and daughter during this time. Pat eased my own grief at that time and I think of him as often as I think of Peter. I hope Peter and Pat are enjoying a great heavenly reunion. Your family touched my life and I will always remember your kindness. Linda
