She developed social services for the communities of First College Courts and Fourth Ward. At a time in her life when she was unable to work, she sold pastries to Mr. W.P. Payne at the Lunch Box. She later received a call from Wheeler Ave Baptist Church to head up their Mission of Mercy Social Service Dept. and remained for 17yrs. Mom, there will never be another like you. I will always cherish the memories I have and will be forever grateful my children were able to know and love the person I called MOM.
