Federico Mora Obituary

FEDERICO S. MORA, age 73, a native of Sugar Land, Texas, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2014, from complications due to Parkinson's Disease He was born April 14, 1941, in Sugar Land, to Joaquin and Amelia Saldua Mora. Fred graduated from Sugar Land High School in 1959, and Texas A&M University in 1963, where he was a member of the Corps of Cadets. He was employed by the Imperial Sugar Company in the Engineering Dept., and retired after 31 years of service. After retirement he was a substitute teacher in the Fort Bend I.S.D. Fred was a parishioner of St. Theresa Catholic Church and a lifetime member of The Knights of Columbus, Council 4204.
He is survived by his wife of forty-nine years, Modesta Mora; daughter, Jennifer Sandlin and her husband David of Missouri City, TX; sons, Michael Mora and his wife Victoria of Houston, TX, and Marcus Mora and his wife Cindie of Rosharon, TX; grandchildren, Jared Sandlin, Dylan Sandlin, and Isabella Mora; sister, Mary Compean and her husband Marcelino; brother, Mariano Mora; and many other loving relatives and friends.
Friends are invited to a visitation with the family from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at The Settegast-Kopf Co. @ Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land (Williams Trace Exit), with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, September 25, 2014, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 705 St. Theresa Blvd., Sugar Land, with the Rev. Carlos de la Torre, Celebrant. The Rite of Committal will follow in the Memorial Mission Mausoleum at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, in Houston.

Moe and family,
