Guadalupe Rodriguez Obituary

Guadalupe "Lupe" Rodriguez
1944-2015
On September 24, 2015, Guadalupe "Lupe" Rodriguez, age 70, of Sugar Land, Texas, was called home to heaven, with his previously departed parents, siblings, and friends. Lupe was born in Sugar Land, on October 9, 1944, to Jose Angel and Vicenta Rodriguez. He graduated from Dulles High School, as part of the Class of '63. Afterwards, he attended Wharton Junior College, and continued on to Texas A & M, where he was a member of the Corps. of Cadets. Lupe is survived by his son, Joel Rodriguez, his former wife, Gloria Moreno Rodriguez, his companion Loretta Futch, his brother Victor Rodriguez, his sisters Ramona Hernandez, and Victoria (husband Beto) Rodriguez, and numerous nieces, nephews, and family friends. Lupe loved animals, sports, and traveling. Most importantly though, he also loved seeing his family and friends. You all smile because he is young and healthy again! God bless you and your families.

The definition of a friend should have Lupe's name in it. He would do anything for you. I can truly say there is a empty spot in our life since God called him to be beside him.

Our prayers and condolences are with the Rodriguez family. Lupe was more than family, he was a very good friend for 60 years. Lupe will be missed, but he is in a better place today. I shared many memories with Lupe as we were growing up, from Little league baseball, high school football at Dulles High School, umpiring high school baseball, to enjoying a round of golf in our later years. "BEAR", as he was known as, had a big heart and was truly a good person. Goodbye my friend, until we meet again.

It may seemed as if life passes as in a blink of an eye (Psalms 90:10), but the moments and the beautiful memories shared will last a life time. Please accept my deepest sympathy.
