Mildred Lee Obituary

MILDRED BENTON BLACKSTONE LEE, 92, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother died at Park Manor Cyfair Care Facility Tuesday, August 7, 2007. She was born on January 28, 1915 in Pennington, Tx. to the late David W. and Corrie B. Benton. She was a very dynamic lady who worked for Hughes Tool Company for several years. She owned and operated MT Cleaners and was also an accountant for U-Totem for many years. She was also known as "Lady Love" for her years as a saleslady for Lady Love skin products. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Ernest Blackstone, daughter Scarlett Blackstone, three brothers, Norris, Clell and Clayton and by two sisters, Ruby and Lois. She is survived by her son Max Threadgill (Barbara) and her daughter Carolyn Morgan-Moore (Jim); stepsons, Joe and Jerry Blackstone; grandchildren: Rhonda Soileau (Glenn), Claudette Hardy (Mel), Max Threadgill, Jr. and Kim Elkins (Chris). great-grandchildren: Joshua Robbins, Candace Hillman, John Soileau, Cameron Hardy, Jacob Soileau, Aaron and Allie Elkins; brother, Weston Benton; sisters, Audrey Durham, Ernestine Buffington and Bobbie Jean Best. She is also survived by numerous other family and friends. Visitation with the family will be from 6pm-9pm on Thursday, August 9, 2007 at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home, 13102 North Freeway. Funeral service will be held 11am Friday, August 10, 2007 at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Earthman Resthaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Glenn Soileau, Mel Hardy, Joshua Robbins, Earl Dean Benton, Richard Benton David Benton and Jerry Springfield. Honorary Pallbearers will be John Soileau, Cameron Hardy and Jacob Soileau. We would like to thank the entire staff of Park Manor Cyfair for the extraordinary care given to her during her two year stay. We would also like to thank the staff of Heartland Hospice for the help and support for us and our family during this very difficult time.
