Phyllis Bloch Obituary

Bloch, Phyllis D.

Phyllis D. Bloch, age 89, formerly of Two Rivers, died Friday morning, October 10, 2014, at the Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center.

Phyllis was born May 24, 1925, in Two Rivers, daughter of the late Frank and Marie (Monroe) Gonia. On May 20, 1950. She married Edward Ralph Bloch. He preceded her in death on November 5, 1971. Phyllis was employed as a cook at St. Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee and at Paragon Electric Company in Two Rivers. She enjoyed playing cards, Bingo, going on bus trips, cooking, crocheting, the Badgers, Packers and being with her family.

Survivors include her daughers: Terry and Paul Feest, Pati and Dick Hofmann, all of Two Rivers; Joanie and Phil Rath, Clintonville, Marie Kahlenberg, Two Rivers; grandchildren: Greg Herman and special friend Kay Satori; Chrissy Schadrie, Mark Herman, Hal Olson III, Jeff Olson, Philip (Greta) Rath, Gretchen(Brian) Tosdale, Luke Rath and special friend Mandi Hohn, Heidi Rath, Bill Kahlenberg Jr and fiancee Vicki Mencham, Rich Kahlenberg and special friend Kari Barteleme; Nicole Kahlenberg and special friend Zach; great grandchildren: Hilary and Meredith, Rebekah, Anikah, Roderick, Dominick, Maryskah, Maverick, Kendrick, Kaleb, Miley, Autumn, Riyah, Laylah, Majid, Emily and Carter; and a sister-in-law: Betty Gonia, Two Rivers.

She was also preceded in death by a sister: Mary Ann LaBudda; and two brothers: Patrick and Roland Gonia.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 16, 2014, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Tom Reynebeau. Phyllis will be cremated at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc and she will be laid to rest at St. Adalbert Cemetery in Milwaukee at a later date.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday, October 16, 2014, at St. Peter the Fisherman Church from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.

The Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Dr. Jackson, Brenda Bartels and the nurses and staff at Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center for the compassion and care given to Phyllis.
