Sus and Family - so sorry to learn of Fred's passing. I will miss his inquisitive mind, his gentle and supportive style and the lively discussions. Although we have not lived in Nampa for several years, Andrea and I remember with great fondness our dinners at the Helpenstell home and the engaging conversations. Fred gave a great deal back to his community....Nampa will miss him....as will I.

Sus,
Mary and I have the fondest memories of Fred, especially during his tenure on the board of Terry Reilly Health Services and his support of affordable housing for Nampa. Our city, all of us, have lost two great champions and kindred spirits in Bob LeBow and Fred. We are richer for them having been among us.

Sus,

I am so sorry for your loss... and ours. Fred was truly and gentleman and a scholar. My 10 year sojourn in Idaho was deeply enriched by knowing Fred. Having seen you both only 5 weeks ago, I am jolted by the news but gratified to know he was with you and those he loved most in his own home when he passed.
With love and condolences,
Fr. John Tivenan
