WEST JORDAN, Utah - Wesley Allen Gross, 48, former Pocatello resident, living in West Jordan, Utah, passed away early Sunday morning, January 13, 2013, at his home from an apparent heart attack.
He was born on August 16, 1964, in Evansville, Indiana, to Gilbert L. and Lois L. Dossett Gross. Wes attended schools in Indiana and graduated from Pocatello High School in 1982, later receiving an associate degree in chemical engineering.  He married Karen Lynch on January 1, 1998, in Las Vegas, Nevada, and they were later divorced.
He was employed by Fairchild Semi-Conductor in West Jordan, Utah, as a failure analysis engineer. Wes loved and enjoyed music, playing in several bands over many years, including "Gravel," "Taken," "Phantom Bride" and "Tree House," where his stage name was Wesley James. Wes moved to Utah in 1984, where he has since resided.
He is survived by his parents of Pocatello; a brother, Scott (Theresa) Gross, Chubbuck; and a sister Deanne (David) Bennett, Pocatello. Wes is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Cameron, Aaron and Brittany Gross and Taylor and Nathan Bennett. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. 
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2013, at 3 p.m. in the Cornelison Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Roger J. Bray conducting. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until service time.
