Brandon Lenker Obituary

Brandon Lenker
Brandon James Lenker, 36, was born April 6, 1980 on Easter Sunday. He died May 5, 2016. Brandon attended St. Anthony Grade School, Franklin and Alameda Jr. High Schools and Highland High School. He loved sports, especially softball, basketball, and golfing. Brandon had a zeal for life and an infectious sense of humor. He was part of the Trouveres, Highland's elite choir, for three years and participated in musicals until he graduated from high school. He was an active member of the Catholic Youth Organization. He loved camping, rivers, and water sports. To Brandon there was nothing better than sitting around a campfire with family and friends. Brandon always had work and did everything at full throttle. He loved framing houses, working for Gunter Construction. He also worked for Floating Green Golf Course in Coeur d'Alene and fell in love with the area. Brandon began his struggle with drug addiction as a young adult, leading to many dark years. He eventually met Pastor Tim Remington from the Altar Church in Coeur d'Alene and attended the Good Samaritan Program where he truly gave his heart and soul to the Lord. Unfortunately he could never shake his addiction to methamphetamines. But when back in jail God used him in bringing peace and comfort to many fellow inmates through leading bible study and personal witness. As his family, we know that Brandon's earthly struggles are finally over, and he is now in the arms of our Lord. Brandon's parents are Jay and Sandi Lenker. He has a brother, Clinton, and a sister, Talia. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ralph & Verda Frey and Frank & Edna Lenker, and cousins Kenny & Darren Lords, ShyAnn Matkin, and his uncle Frank Lenker.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 2 at Holy Spirit Catholic Community's St. Anthony Chapel at 524 S. 7th Ave at 6:00 PM. A dinner will follow. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Cornelison Funeral Home, 431 N. 15th Ave., Pocatello, 232-0542. Condolences at www.cornelisonfh.com

Still miss you, and think of you often. We had lots of laughs in and out of prison. You were the funniest person I've ever met, and we always made the best of our situation. You taught me how to play poker. The best was your parents you me and my wife bowling in Coeur D'Alene. God's got you now. See you when I make it upstairs. RIP Bro.
