William Liese Obituary

William Liese Long time American Falls and Pleasant Valley resident William (Bill) Liese, age 84 joined his parents, brothers and sisters in heaven on July 1, 2008. Bill passed away in his sleep at the Treasure Valley Care Center in Boise, Idaho. Bill was born Feb. 6, 1924, in American Falls, Idaho. He graduated from American Falls High School and after attending vocational school at Idaho State College, he spent many years running the family farms in Pleasant Valley. Bill was active in St. John's Lutheran Church and community life in American Falls. Some of Dad's fondest memories were from the Farm Bureau Association functions where he served as a director. Dad did many things in his life, but first and foremost, he was a farmer. He was the State Farm Insurance guy in American Falls and he also worked for Scott USA/Scott Sports Company and Minit Lube Marketing. May 9th, 1944, he married the love of his life Shirley Jean Eames. Mom and Dad were together 64 great years. Bill is survived by his loving wife Shirley, daughters Carol Liese-Rodriguez (Jack) of Boise, Paula Meyers of Pocatello, and son Ronald Liese (Mary) of Boise. Bill was preceded in death by his parents John and Friedrike, his brothers Dave and Arthur, and sisters Louise and Amalia, daughter Patricia and his two beloved cats, Sadie and Tramp. Dad is a grandfather to Todd, Kim, Marcus, John, Lucas, John, Teri Lyn, and Rich. He is great-grandfather to Austin, Frankie, Dane, and Mason. Dad was also about to be great-grandfather again to a son of Teri Lyn and twin girls of Marcus. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 7, 2008 at 1 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in American Falls, Idaho. Interment at the Fallsview Cemetery, American Falls, will follow the service. Viewing and family visitation will begin at 11 a.m. prior to the service. Luncheon for family and friends at St. John's following the service. Memorials and gifts to be donated and directed to St. John's Lutheran Church, American Falls, Idaho in celebration of our father's life. We love you dad, grandpa, and great grandpa and we miss you dearly. Local arrangements are under the direction of Cloverdale Funeral Home.

This is from the daughter of Robert R. Wilson who shared a room with Bill at the care center. Ron, I believe you are the son which gave my dad some flowers. Thank you!
