Gary Glenn Robinson, 75, died March 30, 2017, in Boise at the VA Community Living Center / Hospice Facility. Gary was born November 2, 1941, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and was a veteran of the US Marine Corps. After college, Gary was a Game and Fish Biologist for the State of Wyoming. Prior to retirement Gary worked with troubled teens in the Mountain Home School District. Gary was an avid outdoorsman and ornithologist who worked as a volunteer with the Intermountain Bird Observatory, Boise State University for the past 13 years. Besides his love of birds, Gary was very artistic and loved painting, waving pine needle baskets, and decorating gourds.
Gary is survived by his Idaho family which includes his fiancée Sandra Herrboldt of Mountain Home, her children and their spouses; Nathan (Amy) Herrboldt, Kristen (Aric) Lolo and Melissa Kast and Idaho "grandchildren" - Mackenzie, Jacob, Mikayla, Kylar, Nickolaus, and Kasdan.
He is survived by the rest of his family which includes his mother Fidelis Haviland, Sioux Falls, SD, and siblings Mark (Bonnie) Robinson of Carson City, NV, Kent (Martha) Robinson of Flagstaff, AZ, Diane (Jim) Nebel, Yuma, AZ, Candace (Jerry) Scott, of Mitchell, SD and Kathleen (Guy) Dirkson of Sioux Falls, SD, his daughter Beth Nicklas of Dragoon, AZ and his grandchildren; Maryssa Nicklas of Elbert, CO and Jimmy Nicklas of Bella Vista, AR and many nieces and nephews. Gary was preceded in death by his father Glenn Robinson, stepfather Ermal Haviland, daughter Mary Delaney and granddaughter Kyla Delaney.
A Graveside Inurnment Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 13, 2017, at Mountain View Cemetery, in Mountain Home. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be directed to the Intermountain Bird Observatory, at Boise State University, 1910 University Dr., Boise, ID 83725-1515, Atten: Dr Jay Carlisle.

Cremation was under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, in Mountain Home.
