Whitney Dow Obituary

Whitney Noel Fuller Dow 1983 ~ 2011 Whitney Noel Fuller Dow was born on December 27, 1983 in Boise, Idaho, to Stanley and Debbie Fuller. She graduated from Borah High School in 2002. She married her best friend and Navy man, Ryan Dustin Dow, on May 2, 2003 in Jamaica and was sealed for time and all eternity on May 1, 2004 in the Boise Idaho Temple. They have two beautiful children; Trevor Morris, 5, and Rylie Marie, 4. Whitney passed away peacefully at home after a three year battle with colon cancer on October 16, 2011. The highlight of Whitney's life was her husband and children. She was the most genuine, loving, and kindhearted woman; an inspiration and a fighter. She taught us so much about living. She was always smiling and laughing -- a true peacemaker and peacekeeper. Whitney was a strong courageous woman of God who never stopped fighting. She was a breath of fresh air, a light in the eyes of many, and will be missed for her incredible way of turning everything negative into a positive. Her warm spirit touched many and changed hearts and minds and will continue to do so here on earth. Her short time here inspired so many. Her beautiful smile will be remembered forever. She is survived by her husband, Ryan; children, Trevor and Rylie; parents, Stanley and Debbie; siblings, Liz Tanner (Corey), Angie Taff (Aaron), Mike Fuller (Kerry), Brady Fuller (Shellie), Natalie Fuller; and a large extended family. A viewing will take place on Friday, October 21, 2011, from 6-8pm at Relyea Funeral Chapel, 318 N. Latah, Boise. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Indian Lakes Ward LDS chapel located at 3555 S. Cole Rd., Boise. There will be a viewing prior to the services from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Interment will follow on Monday, October 24th at 1:00 p.m. at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Relyea Funeral Chapel. Condolences, tributes, and flower orders can be left at www.relyeafuneralchapel.com.

For you and for the whole family, know we hold you tenderly in prayer; and, our prayer is that God might take your sorrow and your brokenness and "fill in" those spaces with God's Spirit. You have been changed by this, but may God strengthen you for the journey before you, while supporting you all in God's powerful hands. May the words you read, add to the well of strength from which all might draw strength.

My prayers and thoughts go out to Whitney's whole family. What a wonderful woman she was. I only wish I would have gotten to know her better. May she now rest in peace until they are all together again. And may Ryan and the kids find strength and understanding.

I did not know Whitney, but I learned a lot about her by reading her wonderful obituary, such a well written tribute to her life. I am hoping to drop a few memory albums off for you to fill with your memories of your wife and mother, if time allows we will also have one for her mother and father, this one may not be ready right away. I feel the children need their own memory album of their mother, one they can view and sleep with if they like. Something they will treasure the rest of their lives. I am a friend of Crystal... I own HANDY HANDS REFLECTIONS, we create and donate memory albums for those experiencing the end of life. Our blessing of peace and comfort during this very difficult time. Best wishes, Jacki Kelsch

As I read Whitney's tribute in the Satesman I thought it truly captured who Whitney really was. I watched Whitney grow from the cutest little girl into a very courageous woman who appreciated every moment of her life. I was so sad when she passed away but my daughter reminded me that Whitney had a wondeful life in her 27 years. Parents and siblings that loved her and a husband who cherished and adored her and stood by her till she went to be with her Heavenly Father. There is only one word to describe her two children, Blessings.

I love you Whitney and till we meet again,
