Nancy Schell Obituary

Nancy Ann Schell
1957 - 2014
Nancy Ann Schell passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her daughters and grandchildren on February 6, 2014 at the age of 56. She bravely fought a losing battle with breast cancer.
She was born in Corcoran, California on February 10, 1957 to Billy Wayne and Wilba Joyce Dollins. She was one of six children and was raised in Gridley, California.
Nancy became a mother at a very young age and raised her two daughters alone. She was a strong, loving, and selfless mother and an outstanding role model for her children. We looked up to her as young children and as adults she became our best friend. No matter what life brought our way we always had each other, the three musketeers!
When her girls were in grade school, Nancy started working for Home Depot, where she worked for 25 years. She worked her way up to a supervisor position in bookkeeping, traveling and training others throughout California, Utah, and Idaho as they grew and opened more stores. After opening the store on Milwaukee, she settled in Boise in 1994.
Her favorite past time was going to yard sales, shopping at thrift stores, and braving the crowds on Black Friday. Finding that great deal or special treasure always brought a smile to her face. More than anything she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She loved them "to the moon and back."
Nancy had a rough life at times, but no matter how many times life knocked her down, she always got right back up. She was a pillar of strength to everyone who crossed her path. Her family adored her and she has left a hole in every one of our hearts. She was our mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt, friend, hero and now she is OUR angel. We love you mom.
Nancy is survived by her mother, Wilba Joyce Dollins; daughters Brandi Wheeler (Travis Anderson) and Trish Johnston; five grandchildren, Brianna, Hunter, and Kylee Briggs, Camron and Caleb Johnston; five siblings, Pam Bloss, Darla Hudson, Cindy Scrogin, Dana Madden, and Jeff Dollins; numerous nieces and nephews and close friends Kevin McGinty and Karen Thomas.
She is preceded in death by her father Billy Wayne Dollins.
A private family service will be held.

Nancy was such a beautiful person. She had a kind heart and a great smile. Nancy's life was hard at times, but as she always said" you just have to keep on keepin on" and that is what she did through it all. She gave her two daughters and grandchildren everything she had. She fought cancer the same way she lived her life, with strength, courage and sheer determination. I will miss her every single day until I see her again and I will always love her. RIP my sweet sister.
