David Knoblock Obituary

David Martin Knoblock David Martin Knoblock went home to be with his Lord on April 15, 2008, with his loved ones by his side. David was the oldest son of Jimmy and Ruth Knoblock and Mike Randall. He was born on July 18, 1954 in Prescott, Ariz. He had a heart for God and a sweet, gentle and loving spirit. He touched many, many people with his generosity and wonderful sense of humor. He served others with a willing heart and was never one to pass by someone in need. Many a time he would slip money to someone who needed it without them even knowing he had done it. He always hoped to be the answer to someone's prayers that day. David proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1976-1980. He had a great love for this country and the utmost respect for all his fellow veterans. He'd never pass by a veteran without thanking them for their service. His prayers were often focused on those still serving our country right now and putting their lives on the line for our freedoms. After numerous prayers from members of his family, David finally met, fell in love with, and married his soul-mate, Kelly on March 4, 2000. Their marriage was filled with an intense love, close friendship, long talks and many practical jokes. In 2001, he was blessed to legally adopt Kelly's daughter Alexandra as his own. Alexandra was so honored to become a Knoblock. Their relationship was truly one-of-a-kind. He was an awesome dad. They spent a lot of time together doing fun things and dreaming of how they were going to finish fixing up Alex's V W beetle together. He taught Alexandra to enjoy life and laugh often. He encouraged her to reach for her dreams. His most important legacy that he left for his family is that he taught his wife and daughter both about faith and God and was instrumental in both of them finding salvation. He personally baptized Alexandra in 2002, which was one of the proudest moments in his life. Dave had many talents including creating beautiful finish carpentry work. Many homes throughout this valley have been blessed by the touch of his hands. His pride in great workmanship was apparent in everything he built. He could also take something old and refinish it to make it better than new. One of his most recent projects was an old gas pump that he refurbished. Aside from God and his family, his greatest love would have to be street-rods. He enjoyed spending time working in his shop on his 1959 Chevy truck, which Kelly lovingly nicknamed "the big yellow girlfriend". Dave was preceded in death by his dad, Jimmy Knoblock. He is survived by his wife Kelly, daughter Alexandra, mother Ruthie Knoblock, and father Mike Randall. His brothers and sisters are Russ and Pam Knoblock, Kevin and Sharon Knoblock, Julia and Tom Wilbert, and Cindy Rondeau. He will be missed by all who knew him. Our hearts are breaking while his is rejoicing! There will be a viewing for Dave on Friday, April 18, from 2 until 8 p.m. at Potter Funeral Chapel in Emmett. A memorial service will be held in his honor at the Eagle Christian Church on Saturday, April 19, at 1 p.m. A burial service will take place at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery on Monday, April 21, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to any charity which supports the men and women who have served or are serving our country.

I'm still missing you so much it physically hurts sometimes. I wonder how life would be if you were still here. I've lost so much since you went home. You would have never let any of it happen if you were here. I miss your laughter and holding your hand and the way you'd just stop and put your hand on me and pray for me no matter where we were. I will never stop loving you.

Kelly and Alex, As it has been stated many times by many people words are just not enough to express the loss of a loved one. It is a loss that no one can understand or explain. I have been with you from the beginning in all of this and I still can not understand how life can change in a heart beat. I feel that my mission for you and Alex is to laugh and never forget to laugh. Live the wonderful memories and the happy thoughts. Many people have stated " Dave's finger prints are everywhere." That statment is definitly true for Tim and I. He was a big help in our remodel and an inspireation with the finish work techniques that he taught Tim. Tim has stated that he has lost a good buddy and will miss him deeply. I feel you and Alex are a true gift to me and I will be there for eternity for both of you. Love always you bestfriend Tina. :)

Words cannot express my deepest sympathy for the loss of David. I had the wonderful opportunity of meeting David through the long standing friendship with his mother and I. Through that meeting we formed a bond of prayer. God must of known I would need David's life and testimony of what God can do in someone's life. He has been an inspiration to not give up on someone you love. I have witnessed first hand the miracles that were brought about in David life. I was so blessed when I went to see his mother that he took time to make sure I was introduced to his wonderful wife and daughter. Kelly, you and Alex completed David. The last time I was there to see his mother. He was sick with the flu but being who David was he still took time to call me and we had one last opportunity to pray together. I am so blessed by this family and how they rallied around each other in this tremendous loss. David is and will continue to be terrible missed. But oh what a tremendous testimony of a triumphant life well lived, no matter what life brought him he faced it head on.

Dear Kelly and Alex, I have started this over so many times and words just cannot express what is in my heart right now. Davey and I have shared so many times, tough times and very good times. His sense of humor through it all has brought a richness to my life. Please know that you and Alex are in my prayers. Love Auntie Sue

David, how my heart aches with missing you! You gave me so much love and encouragement with your calls, prayers and laughter. You left a huge deposit of what life should be all about---loving and caring for the people who are placed in your life. What a legacy of love you left behind, an example for all of us to follow. I'm happy for you to have graduated into God's heaven with honors, though our hearts are hurting. You were and are the best and your love lives on. I look forward to seeing you again some day soon. I love you, Mom

MY Sweet Sister and Niece Alex
There's just not enough words or memories you can say or remember about Dave, he truly will be missed by many but not more so then you and Alex and the rest of his close family members, "I Love You Dave", he could feel my hurt for what I was going thru in my own life and would just call and wish me well and that all of you Love me and supported me, and mostly "God is with You Dennis", I will never forget him and he lives in my heart now. Im specially grateful that Dave was there for my lil' Sister Kel when she needed someone to love her at that point in her life, and to legally adopt Alex has his own child, a good, loving light hearted spiritual and fun loving man, Kelly and Alex, Dave will live on in your hearts and awaits for you on the other side just beyond when all of us will be resurrected, and I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen

You and Alex have been in our prayers everyday and I can't even imagine what you are going through. I feel David was brought to you to help heal our family and I think he did great job starting that. David had many purpuses in his life, many of them unknown, and I feel one of them was to bring you to God and in turn you brought me back to God as well. I was going through such a confusing time and going to church helped me understand more and realize that everything is in God's big plan. And I think David had a big part in all of that for me. David was like grandpa to my girls and they always loved his stories and how he loved to share that "No, David No" book Savannah gave him. Anyway I just never had a chance to tell you what David meant to me and my family and I just wanted you to know he was a big factor in where we are now. Love always!

My prayers and thoughts are with all of you daily. I will always remember David's humor and kindness. I see the same "glint of humor" in my son and dad's eyes that I will forever miss with David.

Kelly and family, we are so sorry for your loss. We really got to know Dave when he did the finish work in our house. He did such a beautiful job and we still after 2 years get compliments on his work. He loved teasing my younger boys, by always calling them "girls"! So in turn they called him "grandma"! Every time our family would run into him in town, the teasing would start again! Our family will miss his great smile and his love for life.

Davidinski Borishnicoff,
There is a huge hole in my heart and life now that you have gone "over yonder". I wonder what it's like and I'm so VERY HAPPY for you bro. And just a little envious. I'm so glad to have been a part of your life and to have shared the heartbreaks, the glorious times, the pranks. . .I'm a better person for knowing you. What a man of integrity you became, you touched so many lives with your kindness. You are sorely missed but so glad you are at peace. See ya someday soon!! Love you bunches!

David, I miss you so much it hurts. Things are really sinking in that you are gone and that's a forever thing. The numbness is wearing thin. I have more questions than answers right now. I love you and wish you were here with me. My heart is broken. I don't know what to do with all the things I feel. I'm lost without you and don't know what to do with the dreams we had for our life together. I love you.

Kelly, I could hardly function last week after I received the call about David. My heart broke for you and your family. Please know my prayers haven't stopped for you all. I am very thankful to have gotten to spend time with your family. Your strength and faith are living examples of what we all should strive for. I am blessed to know you. Please don't hesitate to call with questions.

The Golden Hour

My favorite time of light,

That last hour of the sun by day.

Shadowed by Earth and cloud,

Golden that hour will never stay.

Precious highlight of my life,

By light of the sun,

Rich fields as far as the eye can see,

The world still, reverent and young....

Ablaze in glory the multi colored sky!

In this righteous hour,

Where we in time....turn old,

May love once again....forever those once now....

Turned gold.

Kelly, Alex and the Knoblock family --
Dave was a trusted team member of our "operation" in Emmett. His craftsmanship and loyalty were unmatched. Dave's untimely passing will create a huge void in our future project(s). He will be missed and thought of daily for years to come. I don't remember when I first met Dave, but it was at least the mid 1980s if not earlier. It was truly an honor to "rub elbows" with such a class-guy for all those years! I wish you all nothing but the best and just keep-the-faith. In this day and age, the world needs MORE "Daves", instead of taking them prematurely.
Please don't hesitate to call if there is anything at all that I can do!
