Jacqueline Quass Obituary

Jacqueline Snyder Quass
Age 67 of Bolivar died Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2011 in Aultman Hospital. She was born Aug. 1, 1943 in Minerva to the late William and Mary (Hershberger) Snyder. After graduating from Minerva High School she worked hard for most of her life. She was able to retire as a homemaker. She was thrilled to visit with family, cook a grand meal or sew and mend whatever was on her list. She was a wonderful cook and an amazing seamstress. But her real passion was family. She was currently working on her genealogy, where she came from and where she was going were important to her. She banded people together with an unmatched skill. She was also the family peacekeeper, with a family of 16, it was often a full time job. Compassion and strength were her two best qualities and she will always be remembered lovingly. She loved her Ohio and New Mexico grandchildren dearly. Her love for others will be remembered and held dear forever. Knowing her made everyone a better person. She will be eternally missed.
She is survived by her husband, William J. Quass whom she married March 11, 1990; a daughter, Kim Gearhart of East Sparta; two stepdaughters, Michelle Kerns of Brunswick and Nancy (Reginald) Reynolds of Texas; three sisters, Rosemary Orlando of Waynesburg, Geraldine Nolen of Sandyvale and Vera Stephens of Kensington; two brothers, Gerald (Shirley) Snyder of Carrollton and Vernon (Lila) Snyder of East Canton; and grandchildren, Alissa, Kayla, Hannah, Max, Nick, Seth and Zack.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held Monday, Feb. 14 at 12 Noon in the Reedurban Presbyterian Church with Rev. Darrell Holmes officiaitng. Friends may call from Noon to 3 following the services.

Although I never got the chance to meet Jacqueline, I have had the pleasure of befriending her amazing daughter Kim. Jacqueline must have been so proud to have a loving, caring and compassionate daughter who has worked so hard to get to where she is today. Kim is successful at her job and works hard everyday for her 3 beautiful girls, who she adores. I will be thinking of my dear friend Kim and her family during this time of great loss. Love you
