I was sorrowed to hear of the passing of Leonard. I had been his nieghbor for the past 30 years, knowing Leonard and his wife Garnet. I have many fond memories of Leanord in the back yard when the weather was nice..We would stand & talk.. catch up on neighborhood gossip. He would tell me about his fishing/hunting trips. He was very proud of all of his grandchildren. He talked of them often.
He will be missed by all. I will miss a very dear neighbor. My deepest sympothy to Leonard's family.

Dottie, Buster and families,
You are and were in my thoughts and prayers. These are difficult and busy times. But I know that you will all endure. Your father would want you too. We all have alot of GREAT memories of your dad. The fishing, hunting, jokes, and we all know about cards. These memories are what will keep you strong.
Love you all!

Dottie & Family,
Mr. Stilner, Leonard, Lenny, and of course my "buddy". There are never words to express all that we would like to convey... Leonard was a person of principle and respect. We shared a true friendship because of our values in life and there will be many memories to tresure. May you and yours know that he was a wonderful and good man.
Our prayers to you!
Love, Celeste

May I offer my deepest sympathy to all of Lenny's family. I knew him from working at Winters Ind. He was such an uplifting, happy, funny person. Always said hello and stopped to talk when he was out & about. Such a warm person. God Bless you and be with you.

Uncle Leonard, I wish I would have known you longer but I am thankful to have had you in my life while I did. You had such a warm heart and you were loving, kind and funny. I will always treasure the time we spent together as well as the time we just talked on the phone. You could always make me laugh and feel good about who I am. Thank you for being the person you were and an uncle to be proud of. I will miss you so much.
Dottie and Buster, I feel like I know you because of your dad talking about you guys. Maybe some day we will still meet. I am so sorry I can't be there with you and your family but we are there in spirit and my heart aches with yours. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Love and Warm Hugs to all

I was granted the opportunity to get to know Leonard or "Lenny" as my daughter called him was through my mom Celeste. They met on the VA shuttle and became good friends. I have been blessed to get to know Leonard and his family while I lived in Ohio. Dottie, Denny, and Soren you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Your dad was a great man.

Uncle Leonard, I wish I would have known you all my life but I am so thankful for the time I did have. Getting to know you was one of the best things that has happened in my life. You have the biggest and kindest heart. You were always so happy and fun to be with. I could always feel the love when I spoke to you or was lucky enough to be with you. Thank you so much for being in my life. I will miss you so much. Hopefully when it is my time, you will be waiting with open arms to welcome me. Dear Dottie and Buster, even though we have never met I feel as though I know you through your dad talking about you. Please know that you are both in my prayers at this most difficult time. God will walk by your side during this difficult time and help ease your pain.
With heartfelt Love

Leonard - was an awesome uncle. My mother Louise Barrett held Uncle Leonard and Uncle Bert with high respect for both being in the service and for being her big brothers. There is a big family reunion going on in heaven. I know we all will miss them for now. But by the grace of God we will all be reunited with them in heaven one day. I will be praying for Buster & Dottie and all surviving family members. (John 14:1-3) May God bless and grant to you peace that passes all understanding.

Leonard,
Was my friend we always didn't agree with each other. But that's what made Leonard who he was a fair and proud person with down home value's.Leonard could walk up to a stranger and start talking to them as if he knew them all their life. And by the time the conversation was half way through he would have made a life long friend.(I was one such person)!!!!!!
Leonard will be greatly missed by me and by all who's lives he touched!!!!!
