Martin Matejko Obituary
age 93 of Massillon, died on Thursday, April 15, 2010 at Affinity Medical Center. He was born in Massillon on November 12, 1916 and was the son of the late John and Anna (Sedjo) Matejko.
1n 1966, Martin retired from Republic Steel where he was an inspector.
He was a member of First Baptist Church and the Massillon Senior Center.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy, his second wife Eileen and 11 siblings.
He is survived by his daughter Martha Kropft of Atlanta, GA, his son and daughter-in-law, Rev. Edd and Judy Matako of Massillon, his daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and John Olenzak of Clinton, Ohio and his brothers, Andrew and Edward Matako. Also surviving are four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
A service to celebrate the life of Martin Matejko will take place on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home with his son, Rev. Edd Matako and Dr. Roger Alber officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 5-7 p.m.

My dad is very sad to hear of his brother Martin's death. He is in a memory care facility and cannot make it to his funeral. I have many fond memories of my Uncle Martin. Our sympathy is with you all. Andy Matako and Anita Venola
