Mary Hug Obituary

Mary E. Hug
age 104 went home to be with the Lord on May 22, 2015. She was born in Navarre on June 19, 1910 to the late William and Dora Geopfert. She married Robert Hug on October 19, 1936 and they spent 51 wonderful years together until his passing in 1987. Mary was a homemaker, who loved to sew, garden and play cards. She was a member of St. Barbara's Catholic Church for over 50 years. She will forever be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, aunt and friend.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary Jo (Joe) Manwaring and Roberta 'Bobbie' Groff; her grandchildren, Robert (Theresa) Manwaring, Chris (Sally) Manwaring, Patrick Manwaring, Mark (Julie) Manwaring, Darin (Lori) Groff and Tracy (Stephanie) Groff; 12 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren, as well as a host nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Timothy R. Groff
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Barbara's Catholic Church on Wedensday, May 27, 2015 at 10 a.m. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon on Tuesday May 26, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9 to 9:30. Interment at St. Clement's Cemetery. Donations in Mary's memory can be made to Great Lake's Hospice 1530 W. Market Street, Akron, OH 44313
