Wilma Brock Obituary
BELTON - Mrs. Wilma Louise Murdock Brock, 86, of 500 Troy Murdock Road, widow of Cecil Brock, died Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at AnMed Health Center.
Born in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late James Roy and Mable Agnes Bowen Murdock. She was a member of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church and was retired from Wamsutta Mill.
Surviving are: two sons, Darwin Brock and wife Reba of Anderson and Mike Brock and wife Nancy of Honea Path; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a grandson, Russell Brock.
Funeral Services will be held 3PM Friday at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church with Dr. Ron Culbertson and Mr. Ricky Rice officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 - 3PM at the church prior to the service.
Flowers optional or donations may be made to Mt. Bethel Love Fund, 2603 Due West Highway, Belton, SC 29627. The family is at the home of son Mike Brock, 207 Ridge Run. Online condolences may be made at www.parkerwhitepruitt.com

Wilma (Granny) will be so missed, when I came to Mt. Bethel. My husband died the day after he was baptized at Mt. bethel.
I'll never forget the words Granny said to me, "he was an inspiration to us all, and now you have a wonderful guardian angel above." now know she was an inspiration to me, how she got around, and did as she wanted no worries, I'll love her forever, and now you all have a wonderful guardian angel to watch over you. my thoughts and prayers are with the family as the deal with next few days, and figure out she's in a beautiful place with our lord and savior. Aunt Wilma will be missed. She was an inspiration to us all. She is in Heaven celebrating with Uncle Cecil. Mike, Nancy and the whole family, our prayers are with you in this time of sorrow!

Wilma will be missed by all who knew her, those who grew up in the church around her and all who loved to eat her fried pies. She was wonderful, caring, funny and a good hearted person.

We were so sorry to hear about "Aunt Wilma." She was truly a wonderful, fun-loving person. We have fond memories of the humerous stories she used to tell when we visited Irene and Willis Ashley (Brandon's grandparents). Our thoughts and prayers will be with the family during this difficult time. May you cherish the memories of fond times shared together, and may God "comfort" you and give you "strength" in the days ahead.
