ELLEN JANE LANGFORD PIERCE

TOWNVILLE - Mrs. Ellen Jane Langford Pierce, 64, of Townville, departed this life on Thursday, January 24, 2013.
Born September 23, 1948 in Parkersburg, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Orus Carl and Wilma Ann Heckert Langford. Jane graduated from St. Marys High School in St. Marys, WVa with the class of 1966. She also graduated from the Camden Clark School of Nursing in Parkersburg, WVa with the class of 1969 and began a lifelong career of dedicated nursing at both Camden Clark Hospital in Parkersburg, WVa and Oconee Medical Center in Seneca, SC. Jane was an active member of Zion United Methodist Church in Sandy Springs, SC.
In addition to the many friends she leaves behind, Jane is survived by her husband, Rodger Pierce, of Townville, SC; one son, Gregory Scott Pierce, and one daughter, Diana Jean Pierce Prickett and her husband, Jason, all of Sandy Springs, SC. Jane is also survived by five grandsons, Dylan and Mason Pierce, Jacob Hudson, and Donovan and Samuel Prickett, all of Sandy Springs, SC; one brother, Carl Langford and his wife, Sandy of St. Marys, WVa; twin sister, Jean Lawrence of Parkersburg, WVa, and two sisters, Sandra Headley of Friendly, WVa and Katherine Malone and her husband, Jim of St. Marys, WVa. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, January 25, at Sullivan-King Mortuary, 3205 North Highway 81, Anderson.
Services will be held at Kimes Funeral Home in Parkersburg, WVa with burial in Mt. Pleasant Estates, St. Marys, WVa.
Jane has requested that memorial contributions be made in lieu of flowers. Contributions can be sent to the Cancer Association of Anderson, 215 East Calhoun Street, Anderson, SC 29621.
