Dear Jim & Colleen and all the family,
Please accept my sympathy in Uncle Jim's passing. I know that while we can anticipate the loss, we still grieve nonetheless. When I told my daughter Erin that Grandma's brother Jimmy passed away, her first memory was of a story that Mom would tell. It seems that our grandmother would charge my mom (Rose) and her younger sister Mary with babysitting and talking Jimmy for a walk in the baby carriage. There was a particular day when that involved crossing a swinging bridge with some missing planks (that obviously ended well) and another incident with a runaway carriage going for a joy ride down a Southern Ohio hill (which also obviously did not end in tragedy). It is almost a movie scene to imagine two little girls on such an adventure with their little brother in a carriage. If he was a toddler they must have been no more than 6 and 8 years old. I'm sure Grandma & Grandpa never heard that story, or at least not until years later.
Please remember your father fondly and keep him alive to the next generation through stories and wonderful memories.
With sympathy,
Cousin Becky
