Dear Mrs Esco. A friend told me about Mr. Escoe's obituary. My name is Sylvia Jan Escoe Kinsman. My grandfather's name is George Richardson Esco, born in Alabama. He also worked n the railroad. My name is spelled on my birth certificate as Sylvia Jan Escoe. I know thru ancestry that the Esco name was spelled in different ways, ie. Esco, Easco, and Escoe. I am so sorry for your loss. If you care to get in touch with me, my email [email protected], tel. # 843-760-6158. I live in N. Charleston, born in Flint, AL.

Praying for the family during this difficult time. I will always cherish the times I worked with Mr. Escoe as a trainman/conductor at Chamblee and as a trainmaster at Inman Yard. His guidance meant the world to me.

Dear Pat, Ken and Kathy, Our hearts are broken for all of you. We saw Johnny at the lake a few weeks ago and Bobby is so glad that he had that little visit with him. They had some fun times. We still laugh often at stories from the past. Your memories of him will be so precious in the coming years. We will see you all tomorrow. May God's peace and love be with you. Linda and Bobby Pugh

When I hired on with the railroad John was the conductor on the 4am job at Chamblee. I only had a few days to work that job before moving on to the next one but I learned a lot from him in that short time. After he was promoted to the supervisor level I had the privilege to work with him for several years at Chamblee where I was the conductor on the night GM plant job and he was the night shift trainmaster. Working together and still learning from him we did our best to serve our number 1 customer General Motors. Thankful I had the opportunity to work and learn from one of the railroads best.
