Fansy Gregg Chapman 86, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2004 in St. Petersburg, FL. A co-founder of HHGregg Appliance & Electronic stores, she and her husband, "H.H. Mrs. Chapman remained active in the business until her retirement in 1979. She was a member of the Hillcrest County Club and the Smyrna Shrine Guild. Also a leader and active member of the American Business Women's Association, Delta Carta Chapter, she was President and Women of the Year 1971. She was a member of the Pass-A-Grill Beach Community Church. Born one of 10 children in Fisk, Missouri, she came to Indiana shortly after her marriage and made it her home. After retirement she gradually made St. Petersburg her residence. She is survived by her 2 sons, Gerald and Don Throgmartin; 9 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. As the matriarch of a large and very close family her determination and positive spirit will be greatly missed. Services: 11 a.m. Friday, March 12 at Flanner & Buchanan Funeral Center - Carmel with visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 11.
