I only knew Skip for a few months, but I could tell he was one of the most caring people. He cared so much for others. I actually met him at a grocery store talking to strangers, trying to get them politically aware. He was so selfless, I just wish I could have got to know him a bit longer.
I hope his family finds peace. I think you can tell by all the people who signed this and his facebook, that he was indeed a great man. Heroic in my eyes. Don't forget that part of him.

I can remember when we were little kids growing up in the same neighborhood. I stepped on a giant thorn from a thorn tree and it went through my foot. I was playing in the creek behind my house. Skip came across me and ran to get help. I am so sorry for your loss. He was a good person, and he will be missed. My heart hurts for you all and I will pray for you. - Cassie R.
