John W. "Wally" Kingham
97, Indianapolis, passed away Friday March 30, 2012. He was born in Dublin, Ireland on December 20, 1914 to Harry and Molly Hoey Kingham.
Wally arrived in the United States in March of 1958 and began working as a bookbinder at Howard W. Sams and continued to work there until his retirement in 1980. After retiring from Howard W. Sams, Wally worked at the Knights of Columbus Council 3660, where he was a member, for many years. Wally was also a longtime member of St. Mark Catholic Church and the Ancient Order of Hibernians.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Maureen F. Kingham; daughter, Noeline Scott and his brother, Billy Kingham. Wally is survived by his daughters, Mary Ott, Josie Shaw and Ann Cecil; sister, Peggy Kennedy; brother, Larry Kingham; 8 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great- grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday April 3, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mark Church. Visitation will be Monday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. in Daniel F. O'Riley Funeral Home , where morning prayers will be said on Tuesday at 10 a.m. prior to Mass. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared with the family at:
