James Egenolf Obituary

James Egenolf Age 66, passed away Wed., Jan. 5, 2005 at his residence. He married Eileen F. (Alhand) Egenolf on Sept. 26, 1959 in Indianapolis. She preceded him in death on May 14, 2004. He is survived by his children, Diane Swint (Whiteland), Donna Scheidler (Greenwood), Michael Egenolf (Bargersville) and Joan Sledge (Greenwood); three brothers, George Egenolf (Worthington), Robert Egenolf (Texas) Joseph Egenolf (Greenwood), one sister Helen Patterson (Greenwood) and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, George John and Leona (Worland) Egenolf, brother, Paul F. Egenolf and 2 sisters, Anna Mayre Boner and Ruth Peaper. He co-owned and operated Egenolf Machine & Egenolf Contracting and Rigging for 48 years. He was a US Army veteran and a 1956 Southport High School Graduate. Jim was a member of Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church, the Machinist Union #161 and Iron Workers #22. He was a 4th degree Knights of Columbus Council No. 3660 and a member of Valley Riders Saddle Club. He was a member and served as President of the Johnson County Fair Board for 2 terms. A Prayer service will be at 9:30 a.m. Sat. Jan. 8 at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home, 1605 S. St. Rd. 135, with mass at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church, 335 S. Meridian St. Friends may call from 3-9:00 p.m. on Fri., Jan. 7 at the funeral Home. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. The family request memorial contributions in memory of Jim, to the Johnson County 4-H Horse and Pony Club, 80 S. Jackson St., Franklin 46131 or Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church Gym Fund, 335 S. Meridian St., Greenwood, IN 46143.
