70, of Shelbyville passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at her residence.
Born June 30, 1941, in Rushville, she was the daughter of Russell and Gladys (Fritts) Aldridge. She married Jack Edward Isley on August 26, 1962, and he survives.
Other survivors include her sons, Brett (wife, Sydney) Isley of Chino Hills, California and Kirk (wife, Jill) Isley of Valparaiso; sisters, Caralyn (husband, Richard) Skillman and Maralyn (husband, David) Eads, both of Shelbyville; granddaughters, Makenna Isley, Macie Isley and Madeline Isley; grandson, Matthew Isley; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Earl Aldridge and Lowell Aldridge; and sisters, Betty Mosburg and Joanne Heck Wiley.
Mrs. Isley had resided in Shelbyville since 1963.
She graduated from Milroy High School in 1959.
Mrs. Isley retired as a purchasing agent for Blue Cross Blue Shield/Anthem/Wellpoint after 45 years of service in 2004.
She was a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother. Her husband, sons and grandchildren were the joys of her life. She delighted in planning events and shopping for her family. A recent family Disney World vacation was a most cherished memory. She treasured spending time with her husband traveling to new places as well as her familiar favorites like Pigeon Forge.
Mrs. Isley enjoyed her flowers and gardening outdoors.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday, October 9, 2011 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Car mony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.
Private funeral services will be held at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.

I worked with June while in the mail room and later as fleet car coordinator. She was one of those folks who just made it easier to go to work each day. She was always friendly and just a pleasure to be around.

God bless June. She was always so good to me when I was going through my loss of my wife Darlene. I first met June in August of 1971 at BCBS. My condolences to her entire family.
