Mary Helen Trimple
passed peacefully from our world on Monday February 4th, 2013. She was born to Clara and Bryan Bailey on May 20th, 1924 and lived and worked in Indianapolis most of her life. She graduated high school from Immaculate Conception Academy in Oldenburg, IN in 1942. Mary worked as several jobs in her younger years as a telephone operator at J.C.Penney's, Continental Baking Co., and as a time study analyst at Lucas Herrald where she met her husband, Robert E. Trimpe, and was an active member of the C.A.P (Civil Air Patrol) during World War II. They married on May 18th, 1946 and moved eventually moved into a newly built home on Fenton Ave. in 1950 where they lived until their retirement in 1985. Mary was an active member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church where she participated in many groups and led the CDA (Catholic Daughters of America). After retirement, she and Bob spent their time between Douglas Lake, MI and Bradenton FL. Mary and Bob participated in many swing and jitterbug competition dances in the early days of their marriage and music was always a big part of their life. She loved her family so much and devoted her entire life to their care and nurturing. She enjoyed nature, found beauty in everything and shared her gentle optimistic attitude wherever she went. Mary and Bob have 5 children, William H. Trimpe (deceased) (Tish) of Cope IN, Patricia A. Berry (Michael) of Cicero IN, James R. Trimpe (Teri) of Louisville KY, Barbara L. Davis (Jack) of Indianapolis IN, and Joseph E. Trimpe (Carol) of Indianapolis IN. Mary had on brother, Robert Wente (deceased), sisters JoAnn Smith (deceased) Lois Patterson, Sister Therese Wente, and Rosemary Brodnick. Mary had 21 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Services will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 7243 E. 10th St., Indianapolis IN 46219 on Wednesday February 6th. Visitation and calling from 10:30am to 12:00 noon; funeral mass at 12:00 noon with burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Services entrusted to Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary .
