John "Jack" Haley
Passed away on January 12, 2014 in Melbourne, Florida. He was born April 1, 1926 in Missouri. After he graduated from Iowa State University, he went to work for New York Life. He started as a manager and quickly moved to sales as a business sales agent for over 50 years. He consistently qualified for the Million Dollar Round Table and Chairman's Council and was a pioneering member of industry study clubs. He was a member of Phi Gamma Delta.
Jack was a passionate golfer and member, of over 50 years, at the Country Club of Indianapolis. His other leisure pursuits included flying, sailing, ham radio and skiing where he met his wife of 57 years, Jane (Narloch). He was also an early and longtime member of Saint Luke Catholic Church in Indianapolis, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Colonel Robert Haley. He is survived by his wife, Jane; son, John; daughter, Trish and grandchildren Mason and Meredith Haley.
Leppert Mortuary, Nora Chapel , has been entrusted with arrangements. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Luke Catholic Church on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 11:30 a.m., with one hour visitation immediately before.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of John "Jack" D. Haley may be made to: Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School, 2801 West 86th St., Indianapolis, IN, 46268. Please designate checks to "Brebeuf Jesuit" with "In memory: Jack Haley" on the memo line.
