Lillian Plummer Obituary

Lillian Arlene (Eastlund) Plummer

92, of Indianapolis, passed away on February 12, 2016. She was born on August 12, 1923 in Lucas, South Dakota. Lillian married Ralph R. Plummer, March 15, 1945 in Santa Rosa, CA. She was a cook at Fulton Junior H.S. in Wayne Township, Indianapolis and retired in 1986. She loved to read, sew and Bunka embroidery.

Lillian is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Ralph Plummer for (almost) 71 years.  Together they have eight (8) daughters:  Teresa Maxson (Bill); Anne Plummer; Mary Joseph, who preceded her in death; Rose Marie Welchans (Jack); Mari Riffey-Perkins (Vincent); Carol Rengnez (Alain); Lilian Plummer (George Martin) and Nancy Plummer. Four (4) sons: Joseph, who preceded her in death; Robert, Thomas (Cathy); and Donald (Laura). She had six sisters and two brothers. Significant survivors: Linda Teeter (Dave); Nancy Fitch Plummer; Marilyn Plummer and Barbara (Eastlund) Rock (Jim).  She and Ralph have 23 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday, February 15 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th Street, Indianapolis with Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 with visitation 1 hr. before Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1401 S. Mickley Avenue, Indianapolis. Burial Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church. To leave the family online condolences, please visit www.stevensmortuary.net.
