Lillie Britton Obituary
73 of Avon, passed away on March 11, 2016. She was a graduate of Roachdale High School, Butler University, Johnson Bible College and University of Tennessee. She taught music at the Lebanon Middle School and later taught Choral Music at Manhattan Bible College and later at Johnson Bible College.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ray and Louise Britton and a brother David Britton. Survivors include her brothers Ted Britton and Ed (Carol) Britton; sister Sara (Jon) Hubacher; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Mon., March 14, 2016 at the Roachdale Christian Church, with funeral services there at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in the Roachdale Cemetery. Online guestbook at

I was a long time friend of her niece Tammy. Lillie played piano for one of my solo contests in high school and because I won an award, she bought a plaque which I still have to this day and that was over 35 years ago. Lillie was one of the kindest most gentle persons I know, and my life is definitely richer due to her influence in it. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.
