Paul Fleener Obituary
79, Speedway, Indiana, passed away June 28, 2016. Paul was born October 9, 1936, the son of Howard J. and Rosa N. (Sexton) Fleener. Paul retired from Allison Gas Turbine in 1993 and graduated in 1955 from Martinsville High School. He attended Chapel Rock Christian Church and was a member of United Auto Workers Local # 933. Paul was considered the Mayor of his Street and enjoyed woodworking, lawn and yard work.
Survivors: wife, Mary (Day) Fleener; daughter, Lori (Jon) Joseph; son, Robert Fleener; sister, Mary Lester; 3 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; 2 great-granddaughters and 4 step great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 1st at Flanner and Buchanan - Speedway, 2950 N High School Road Speedway, Indiana, funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 2nd at the funeral center. Interment will follow at West Ridge Park Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.flannerbuchanan.com

Dear Paul,
You know that I always loved you like the brother I never had. Always helpful, always smiling and an excellent friend since early 60's. You and your family always made me feel welcome . Be sure to say "Hi" to Cecil for me. I'm sure the two of you can find some plumbing to fix. Say "Hi" to Claudia also. Miss her.

We lost a dear soul on our street this week. Paul was instrumental in starting our annual block parties on our street over 20 years ago, and was a great neighbor and friend. He was such a wonderful resource that we lovingly called him "Our Mayor!" You WILL be missed Paul! R.I.P.!
I sure do love Paul, even when we are not "clowning" around!
