Along with his wife, survivors include his daughters, Shelley (Milt) Grissom of Franklin and Paivi (Bill) Blanchard of Indianapolis; grandchildren Stacie (Sean Wilson) Grissom, Natalie Grissom, Alex Grissom, Markus (Katie) Wilds, and Laura (Cory) Walradth; and four great-grandchildren.

Additional survivors include sister, Sue (Andy) Zajac of Alaska; stepchildren Allan (Lisa) Harkness and Jay (Lisa) Harkness of Indianapolis; Cindy (Mark) McElroy from Georgia; step grandchildren Brock Harkness, Helen Meyer and Duncan Meyer.

He was a member of the Indiana Wrestling Hall of Fame and a past recipient of the Master Shepherd Award from the Indiana Sheep Breeders Association. He raised purebred Dorset sheep from 1936-2015. He attended Southport United Methodist Church and later became a member of Hopewell Presbyterian Church.

My name is Vicki Thompson. I am the daughter of Hugh Pervis Thompson and the granddaughter of Wilford Thompson. I spoke to Marjorie and received letters from here in the early 90's. I always wanted to meet Tommy as he was my cousin. I'm so very, very sorry that this won't happen. He sounds like he was an incredible man. All of my sympathy and prayers to your family.

I always enjoyed and will miss his Christmas letters. Tommy was one of a kind and our family was blessed to have spent so much time with him and his family. Heaven gained a knowledgeable man. Rest In Peace, Tommy.
