I just saw you on "Hornets Nest" on Amazon, the documentary. Your sacrifice & passing may have been a long time ago, but having since seen you on that show, it was as if I was on the field beside you. By the end of it I felt as though I lost a brother. I felt the sadness & pain of losing you. I will be forever grateful & thankful for your service. Your name will never be forgotten & always in my prayers. May you rest in peace.

To the Lindscog family,
My wife knows Jameson's father Curt through work.Of course they had spoke prior of Jameson, his service, their father and son bond and how proud he was of his son.
From what I have read he touched many more people outside his family profoundly.A fine example of a younger generation volunteering to do what's necessary to preserve our way of life.
My father served, friends and now younger extended family are serving. a I couldn't be prouder to call them niece and nephew.
We civilians can do our part honoring our military by a simple thank you or donations to blue moms or veteran foudations. After all where would we be without them?
Forever indebted,The Mullin family

SPC Lindskog!

It was an honor to serve with you here in Afghanistan. You have proven to be a unique gift to our Base Aid Station. We mourn for you here. We honor your deeds for unselfishly giving your life, trying to save another. We remember all your countless selfless acts you have done for us. You even gave me your extra PSP, without hesitation or asking for anything in return. You've taught me so much with your physical/massage therapy. And you've helped so many of my patients with your touch.

To the Lindskog family,
We off our deepest condolences. We are glad to have met SPC Lindskog. He has touched all of our lives here forever.

WE LOST ANOTHER MEDIC TODAY

Another hero is gone lost during a battle in a foreign land
These angels of mercy taken from us much too soon
A knock at the door, a family’s heart is broken by the news
That we lost another medic today
His buddies in battle know the truth before his family
They will grieve his loss because he was their “Doc”
Their lifeline… their safety net… their friend… their brother is gone
They lost another medic today
He was there for them; he was a part of them,
The bond between them forever strong.
They knew he had their back, when needed he would come
He hated the calls for him for he knew it was bad
When the call came for Medic he was there;
But now no more for we lost another medic today
As men go to future battles, the corpsman/medic will also go
To be there for his men when they need him the most
Bandaging wounds, giving encouragement, keeping them from deaths door
They lost a friend, a brother, his memory will linger when the words ring out
We lost another medic today.

The Final Salute

“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.

This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to PFC. Jameson L. Lindskog our Brother-in-Arms . To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Jameson. And to Jameson it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the ultimate sacrifice he made for his country while opposing enemy forces in Afghanistan. No greater love is shown than a man lay down his life for another. Jameson, you are a brave American Warrior, a true Patriot and a national Hero. With your passing, our Country has lost a National Treasure. We bid you a sad farewell. You will be dearly missed from among our ranks. Be at ease. Rest in Peace.

On behalf of the 1,307 military Legionnaire Veterans of Lowe-McFarlane Post 14 of the American Legion in Shreveport, Louisiana, I extend our sympathies and our condolences to Jameson’s family and loved ones.

To the Lindskog family,

I know there are no words to say at this time, except how sorry that I am. I truly feel your loss and pain. My thoughts and prayers are with you always. Jameson will never be forgotten.

For you every single soldier
Those who served so honorable
Your life was forever altered
While I’m home safe and free
I stand with grateful admiration
I stand respectful and so proud
I know I’m only a civilian
And I don’t even know if it’s allowed

But I salute you; allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
Even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
My humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.
I salute you.

For those missing in action;
for those who didn’t make it home.
I know you’re in God’s presence you are not alone.
For every neatly folded flag;
for every shattered family
I will do the only thing I know to dignify your memory.

I salute you, allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
my humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.

I salute you .

I Salute You.
