In Loving Memory of Bonnie (Bonita) Sue Logue Deffner Mar. 11, 1940 Apr. 22, 2010 Resident of Emeryville, Ca Passed away peacefully on Thursday April 22nd 2010 after a lengthy illness at the age of 70, Surrounded by her loving family she was guided home by passed love ones. Born unto Robert and Alice Logue in Stroud Oklahoma, She was raised in Blackwell and was the eldest daughter of 5 children. While growing up Bonnie her sisters and her cousins loved to dress up, dance, sing, and pretend they were movie stars. She would often talk about the adventures herself her brother and sisters would experience while exploring the local area. She married Brian Deffner in 1960 and shortly after they moved their family to Oakland California area where they raised 5 of her children, In the late 60's Bonnie worked for Sears and Robuks, sold Tupperware and then later went on to work at the Claremont Resort in the Oakland/Berkley hills where she worked close to 20 years and was passionate about her work as head banquet waitress. Mom loved being in her garden and tending to her beautiful roses and enjoyed watching her orchids bloom., she spent many hours doing crossword puzzles, Embordory,reading books, going for long drives, listening to the music of her era. It gave her great pleasure to watch her favorite TV. show Jeopardy, making fudge and Christmas cookies for her friends and family at Christmas time and talking on the phone with friends and family. Mom was most content when spending time with her family, Bonnie was always there for everyone and was supportive no matter what the situation was. She took everyone on in and treated them as family, no matter how many people were around, she made you feel you were the only one and all her attention was on you. Everyone knew her as Mom or Grandma ad knew they would be greeted with a smile. Preceded in death by Husband, Brian Deffner Parents Robert Logue, Alice Logue, Daughters Katheryn Deffner, Susan Rodriguez, Grandmother Clara Hiatt, Brother James Logue, Sisters Patricia Skaggs, Judith Huff, Janice Ryan. Bonnie is survived by her partner John Clark and her children, Kimberly Riley (William), Sharla Senters, Theodore Deffner, Fredric Deffner, and Sandra Deffner (David). Grandchildren Olivia Arambula (Jason), Veronica Alvarez, Michelle Deffner (Tua), Oriana Obligacion, Amber Deffner, Angelina Rodriguez (Donald), Orlando Obligacion II, Anthony Rodriguez, Vanessa Obligacion, Ashley Deffner, Sydney Deffner, Dakotah Logue, Joseph Rodriguez, Shianne Rodriguez, Willow Beam. Great-grandchildren, Francisco Escobar, Christina Escobar, Gabral Cruz, Monica Escobar, Donovan Escobar, Ashley Armabula, Khamaria Hillmon, Leiloni Obligacion, Alexander Arambula, Jazmine Logue, Hailey Garcia, Joshua Niusulu, Amber Deffner, Amber Deffner Brian Niusulu, Donovan Obligacion, Makayla Nichols, Donald Seelhorst, Elayjah Walker, and Keolani Arambula. Son and daughter in law Joe Rodriguez and Ann Herrera, aunts Roberta Hancock,Dorothy Logue,cousins Claudia(Shirley) Sawyer,Jeanne Platt, Friends Sandy Mederios ,Iris And Ed Loux and their families many nieces, nephews and cousins and Friends. Mom would also like to thank Dr Richard Nesser, the Summit visiting nurses, her counselor Debra, and the many others who cared for her during her illness. We love you Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma and Friend; you are forever in our hearts and will be missed more than words can say. Thank you for everything we will never forget you. Services will be held at the Chapel of the Chimes in Oakland, Thursday April 29th at 1:00 pm.
